Kent Plays King, Nominates Mike and Krista

After opening with a sentimental black and white, slow motion montage of the household?s split-by-fate couple, Will and Shannon, "Big Brother 2's" Saturday (July 28) episode cut the suds and got to the dirt.

Kent proved to be a demanding dictator as Head of Household, strutting around the compound in his bathrobe with a cigar dangling from his lips. He complained when the refrigerator was stocked with strawberries and champagne, or, in his words, "gay food." He would have preferred beer and unsalted cocktail peanuts.

"You don?t know this redneck," he complained.

Unfortunately, we do. So it was a surprise to see Kent and Bunky becoming friends later in the episode, discussing quiche and decor. Their housemates dubbed them "The Odd Couple," but "Rich and Rudy 2" would have been equally appropriate.

The food challenge consisted of a vaguely food-related quiz with each house guest taking questions in a different nutritional category. If he or she could answer two or three of the questions posed, the house would be supplied that type of food for the week. They emerged with everything but dairy and fruit, thanks to Monica and Krista, the latter of whom answered "mushroom" for one of her questions.

"Where I come from, a mushroom is not a fruit," Will said later in the diary room.

Back inside, Krista, Monica and Nicole discussed their sexual appetites: "My sex drive is definitely going off the hook," Krista said.

Nicole told the cameras that the conversation made her uneasy because she sees herself as a "motherly figure" in the household. That didn?t stop her from talking about her own roaring 30s, though.

The antsy Krista was -? theoretically at least -? in luck. During an art project, Mike dedicated his tile mosaic to her. Krista thought it was sweet, but worried, "He done lost his mind."

It was a prophetic statement: Later, Mike donned a silk kimono and lay in Krista?s bed, determined to stay there until she climbed in. He fell asleep and promptly began snoring. Sexy?

Kent waffled about whether to nominate both remaining Chill Town members, Mike and Will, or to "make it interesting" by choosing just one. Will seized the opportunity to sell out Shannon, whining that he was made "guilty by association."

Kent took the bait and selected Mike instead and, while he considered choosing Bunky as the other candidate for Thursday?s dismissal, went with Krista instead, making vague accusations about not liking how she played the game.

Will gleefully told the camera, "I made a deal with the devil, the devil being Kent." He took pride in referring to himself as "the biggest liar in the house, the biggest liar in California, and ?- I?m going to go out on a limb here -? maybe even the biggest liar in America."

Mike wasted no time chewing out Kent for nominating him after Mike spared Kent during his own stint as Head of Household.

"Kent and I are going to have a war this week," Mike warned.

We can?t wait.
